![]() ![]() ***Disclaimer: I am not a professional! However, I am a ‘real-life, first-time, Action Challenge L2B Survivor’. This has led me to compile a little list of how I managed to survive this amazing ordeal with very little incident, and a few things I learned about why preparing is SERIOUSLY important. We needed to extend our rest stops for first aid and even stop often on the trail, and as I am a very competitive (yet compassionate) person I was glad to stop and help each other, but hated the time we wasted and the pain we were going through. The other remaining team member and I carried on despite some MASSIVE medical issues. However, I was in a team with others who had not done the work, and who were too unprepared majority of them dropped out at the first signs of trouble. I was lucky enough to complete 2012’s Challenge with very little problems after a very sporadic and lax training regime.
